We roast every batch in-house and welcome every guest with genuine hospitality, quality coffee, and meaningful connections.
Coffee has been at the heart of our story from the very beginning. More than nine years ago, our owner started working as a barista in a small local coffee shop, where she learned the art of brewing coffee and roasting beans on traditional 1906 Royal Roasters. Those early experiences built a lasting appreciation for craftsmanship, consistency, and the care that goes into every cup we serve today.
Coffee also became something much more personal. It is where our husband-and-wife team first met, sharing a passion for coffee that eventually grew into Sun & Gold Coffee House and Roaster. Today, we continue that journey by creating a place where people can slow down, enjoy meaningful conversations, and feel at home every time they visit.
As a locally owned coffee shop serving Sweetwater, TN, and nearby communities, including Madisonville, Englewood, Philadelphia, Niota, Athens, Loudon, and Vonore, we are committed to offering more than great coffee. We believe every guest deserves fresh coffee, welcoming service, and an environment where they can comfortably work remotely, gather with friends and family, or simply enjoy a quiet break during the day.
Every coffee bean we serve is roasted in-house, allowing us to oversee freshness, flavor, and consistency from roasting through every handcrafted drink. We carefully source organic, fair trade, and rainforest certified coffee from respected growing regions, including Peru, Colombia, and Tanzania. By working directly with coffee growers whenever possible, we help reduce unnecessary layers in the supply chain while supporting more sustainable farming practices and fair compensation for producers.
Our coffee shop welcomes daily coffee drinkers, specialty coffee enthusiasts, remote professionals, students, families, and anyone looking for a comfortable local cafe built around genuine hospitality.
